Quarantine Cooking
Finding a topic to cover, or a focus for the video was difficult originally, but luckily I live next door to Ethan and he was available to help me out.
One day, I was taking out the trash and Ethan was just returning home from the grocery store and said that he was planning on making a steak. I don’t personally make steak well, and I love steak, so I figured I would figure out how he does it. Making the video itself came about after I realized I could get the video done with this interesting topic.
The theme of the story is to simply show people how to enjoy the things that they love while being at home. The age of the DIY with COVID 19 is ever increasing, and this video should be able to help people moving forward.

Impact of Head Injuries on NFL Players
The National Football League has been under extensive scrutiny for not preventing head injuries, that occurred on players which ultimately lead to death in many cases.
Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is the term used to describe brain degeneration likely caused by multiple head traumas. CTE is a diagnosis made only at autopsy by studying sections of the brain.
A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association, found CTE in 99 percent of brains from NFL players, as well at 91 percent of college football players and 21 percent of high school football players.
CTE has forced the NFL and other football organizations to invest in new technology that will advance the equipment used in the game of football.

Quarantine Lifestyle: Finding the new Norm
Throughout this experience, it has been pretty dull and boring which has allowed me to to try and get the most authentic pictures that I could. Today, only one of my roommates was present so I captured what he has been doing for the past week.
Seen in the pictures is Bobby Tessmar, Bobby is a sophomore at Central Michigan University studying Business Management. Bobby is currently in quarantine due to the recent pandemic as well as many other Americans.
Bobby describes the quarantine as “Boring and extensive”.

Headshot Photo Exercise: Dante Tocco
I had the honor to take a photo headshot of Dante Tocco. Dante is a sales and marketing major here at Central Michigan University. I currently live with Dante so I figured he would be a perfect candidate for the project due to current quarantine procedures.
This project was very interesting, I am not too handy with a camera yet and all the editing but I took advice from a friend who is a frequent photographer.
Overall, very fun project! Stay healthy everyone!

Political Blog Introduction Post
Politics!
Do we really have to talk about that?
Yes, we do because it effects our everyday life.
The word ‘politics’ makes peoples heart drop at the dinner table. Many believe that politics is a conversation that should’t exist. This blog will show that engaging in healthy political conversations can be very productive and fun.
Let me give you some quick background on me!
My name is Lance Batho, I am currently a junior at Central Michigan University studying public relations and public affairs. Currently I am interning at the Michigan House of Representatives as a legislative affairs intern for the speaker of the house.
Throughout my time interning at the capitol, I have learned what really goes on inside a political office and working for a politician. It is a very past paced environment full of networking, analysis, data entry and a big sense of competition between parties.
This blog was established in my JRN 340 class (Intro to Digital Journalism). We are learning how to adapt in an interchanging journalism period full of new technological advances. This blog will serve as a first hand look inside what we are learning in this class and incorporating politics in with it.
I am looking forward to supplying you with many blog post to come!
